Charlie graduated from the Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire, where he was captain and MVP of the
Varsity Wrestling Team, and a New England interscholastic champion. He then graduated from Princeton University,
where he was a varsity athlete and Senior Class President. He graduated, with honors, from Vermont Law School,
where he was chair of the Honor Committee.
He has practiced law in Vermont and New Hampshire for more than 25 years, and has represented thousands of clients in that time.
He has tried over fifty cases to jury verdict in both states, and has won before both the Vermont Supreme Court and the
New Hampshire Supreme Court.
He has served for on many boards and committees in his home town of Thetford Vermont, including the Recreation Committee,
the Budget Committee, the Board of Civil Authority and, for the past fifteen years, on the Thetford Board of School Directors.
An avid runner, Charlie has run marathons from Washington, D.C. to Las Vegas, finishing in Boston Marathon-qualifying
times on five different occasions. He has coached youth, middle school and high school football, soccer, baseball, softball,
basketball and track. Charlie is also active in community theatre, is an accomplished pianist, and sings in his church choir.
