My daughter was a Girl Scout for many years, and took great pride (and pleasure) in selling Girl Scout cookies, frequently outselling the other girls in her troop. Not only did the proceeds benefit the organization, she learned about marketing and persistence and teamwork.
But she could never match the accomplishment recently achieved by a particularly enterprising Girl Scout in California. According to this article in the New York Times, she sold more than 300 boxes in six hours. Her secret?
She set up shop just outside a marijuana dispensary.
