A Pennsylvania police department was inundated with volunteers after offering to get people drunk to help train officers in how to conduct field sobriety tests. The Kutztown Borough Police Department posted a Facebook ad seeking three volunteers “willing to drink hard liquor to the point of inebriation.”

The post was shared over 1,400 times, and hundreds of people left comments (this in a borough of about 5,000 people).

One person asked whether participating would count toward his community service. Another asked if there would be a “spectator area” for the event.
