Last Saturday, Dan Mullen, the head football coach at the University of Florida, said that he wanted to see the home stadium at full capacity (that’s 90,000 spectators) for this coming Saturday’s game against LSU.
He is going to have to wait.
The game has been postponed after Florida shut down its program when 18 of its scholarship players and three walk-ons tested positive for COVID-19.
And since CDC guidelines provide that those with positive tests must isolate for 10 days (while contact tracing requires a 14-day quarantine), prospects for the game against Missouri the following weekend aren’t looking so hot.
