Charlie Buttrey

I am somewhat of a Presidential trivia buff.  Did you know, for instance, that Abraham Lincoln is the only President who obtained a patent?  Or that George W. Bush was the only President with an MBA?  Or that Jimmy Carter was the first President born in a hospital?

We’re just loosening up here.  Riddle me this: There are four colleges that have graduated both a Super Bowl-winning quarterback AND a U.S. President.  Can you name them?

For that matter, can you name the last President who did not have a middle name?

I’ll give you a moment to ponder.

Answer to trivia question one: Michigan (Tom Brady/Gerald Ford), U.S. Naval Academy (Roger Staubach/Jimmy Carter), Stanford (Jim Plunkett and John Elway/Herbert Hoover) and Miami (Oh.) (Ben Roethlisberger and Benjamin Harrison).

Answer to trivia question two: Theodore Roosevelt.  Some will quibble and say Harry Truman (who did not have a middle name, but had a middle initial (which, by the way, was NOT followed by a period)).
