This is not — I repeat, this is NOT — a political blog. That said, there are times when political matters have a way of bleeding into the system. Particularly when they are, like this little tidbit, somewhat amusing.

The Queens (NY) Daily Eagle touts itself as “the only daily print newspaper covering Queens communities, Queens politics and the Queens justice system.” It also appears to have editors with a sense of humor.

I say this after reading the headline from its most recent edition, which relays the news that the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach native son Donald Trump, who grew up in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens.

The headline? “Queens Man Impeached — Again”

The opening sentence of the story? “A Queens-born real estate developer made history Wednesday when he became the first U.S. president ever impeached twice by the House of Representatives.”

You can read all about it here.
