On its face, it would seem to be good news: The incidence of STD’s in New York City has plummeted 80 percent since the start of the pandemic.

On the other hand, is this because fewer people are getting infected as a result of social distancing, or because fewer people are being tested in the first place?  I only ask because seven of the city’s eight Department of Health clinics are closed and are only providing telemedicine, and the 8th clinic is not providing routine STD testing.
