When Pensacola, Florida resident Terri Harrington’s husband Bryan died 16 years ago, his organs were harvested and used to save the lives of four other people, including Jeffrey Granger, who received Bryan’s pancreas and a kidney.
Last year, Granger was put back on dialysis. When Ms. Harrington learned that he would need a new kidney, she offered hers. The kidney now sits next to her late husband’s.
“We are back together,” she said.
