The eclipse did not disappoint.  The skies over northern Vermont were clear, and the four minutes of totality were truly spectacular.

The traffic was also spectacular.  If you’re into that.

The drive from my home up to Camp Takumta in South Hero, which was well within the zone of totality, took about an hour and 50 minutes.  The traffic on I-89 was heavy, but it was moving.  The drive home?  Five hours.  Two hours later, the interstates (we have two of them) were still jammed.

And it was worth it.
