It wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I was first introduced to the phrase “Ok, Boomer,” a dismissive remark aimed at baby boomers, perceived by today’s young people as out of touch, technologically impaired, and politically old-fashioned.

Now, the University of Miami (Fl.) has warned students not to use the term. While the administration concedes that students have “pent-up frustration” about having “inherited a planet plagued by the ravages of climate change, increasing student loan debt, and an economy that makes it difficult for them to lead independent lives,” the term, the University tells us, is “intolerant.”

I wonder if the students find restrictions on free speech similarly “intolerant.”
