There’s good news and bad news for prison inmates in West Virginia.
The good news is that they can now read more than 60,000 titles in e-book form.
The bad news? They will be charged five cents per minute to read the books. Even though the books come from Project Gutenberg, a free online library of books in the public domain.
The worse news? Inmates in West Virginia earn as little as four cents an hour for prison work.
