You may have heard that the fast-food chain Popeyes (which has exactly zero franchises in Vermont) has been engaging in a social media war with Chick-fil-A (which has exactly zero franchises in Vermont) over their respective new chicken sandwiches.

Craig Barr of Tennessee apparently really wanted to try Popeyes’ new Louisiana Chicken sandwich, but discovered that every franchise he went to was sold out. So he did what any red-blooded (and poultry-eating) American would do.

He sued.

According to this post from NBC News,  Barr filed (pro se, by the way) a complaint seeking $5,000 in damages for “false advertising” and “deceptive business practices.” He claims to have wasted “countless time driving” between Popeye’s franchises searching for the elusive sandwich, suffering tire and rim damage as a result.

And, he adds, his friends have mocked and humiliated him.

Imagine that.
