Civil rights icon John Lewis was the last living speaker from the 1963 March on Washington, where he spoke at the tender age of 23.

Lewis died on Friday at the age of 80, having served as a United States Congressman since 1987.

What better way to honor him than this clip from the Colbert Show when, at the age of 77, he crowd-surfed at the conclusion of his interview?

He will be missed, but his voice has not been silenced.
