Don’t call it the world’s first flying motorcycle. Call it a personal injury lawyer’s dream.
Jetpack Aviation, which already manufactures functioning jetpacks, has announced the successful test flight of the “Speeder,” its prototype flying motorcycle. It will be, the company gushes, “the first turbine powered, fully stabilized vertical take off and landing (VTOL) personal aircraft ever built.” The company is already taking pre-orders, and says its ultralight version — which will be able to go 60 mph — will be ready in two years. About six months after that, an experimental version should be ready. It will require a pilot’s license, and will be able to cruise at 250 mph and fly as high as 15,000 feet.
List price? From $380,000.
