I paid bills last night. I’m old school, and pay my bills with checks. Remember checks?

Paying by check requires that you detach the remittance coupon from the invoice. Several companies conveniently perforate the paper to make it easy for you to remove the coupon.

But have you noticed that the perforation is always one-twentieth of an inch from the fold in the invoice? There is NO WAY way you can cleanly detach the coupon. And it annoys me.

Couldn’t they just place the perforation on the fold?

Is this their passive-aggressive way of trying to get me to pay my bills on line?
