The New York Times recently reported the results of a survey in which respondents were asked whether they agreed or disagreed with the proposition that the U.S. has grown “too soft” and “feminine”. The results are worthy of a blog post.
– 41% of Democratic men without a college degree agreed that the U.S. has grown “too soft” and “feminine”; just 9% of Democratic men with a college degree agreed.
– 80% of Republican men without a college degree agreed, while 73% of Republican men with a college degree did so.
– 28% of Democratic women without a college degree agreed; just 4% of Democratic women with a college degree did so.
– 57% of Republican women — with or without a degree — agreed.
Meanwhile, there have been, just since January 1st of this year, 52 mass shootings in this country, resulting in 93 deaths and 208 injuries.
