Apple touts its new titanium Apple Card as “the most significant change in the credit card experience in 50 years.”

While I’m not sure I’d go that far, it will certainly change how you carry your credit cards.

Apple warns users not to keep the card near leather or denim, which “could cause permanent discoloration.”  It also warns against putting it next to keys, loose change, or “other potentially abrasive objects.” And don’t even think about putting it in a wallet slot that already has a credit card in it, so it doesn’t get scratched. And if you think putting it in an empty purse is okay, first make sure that the purse is made of “soft materials.”

In fact, Apple advises, “If your titanium Apple Card comes into contact with hard surfaces or materials, it’s possible that the coating can be damaged.”

Apple also suggests cleaning the titanium card by wiping it with a microfiber cloth that has been moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

Or, I suppose, you can just use that ol’ VISA card. But that’s soooo two weeks ago.
