In case you’ve always wanted to take care of business on an 18-karat gold toilet made with millions of dollars worth of gold, you should be aware that you have until September 15th. That’s when New York’s Guggenheim Museum will close what the New York Times refers to as “one of the smallest exhibitions in the museum’s history,” comprising a single work of art: a fully functional 18-karat gold toilet, designed by Maurizio Cattelan and installed in a single-occupancy museum restroom.

The exhibit, the Times reports, has been popular with visitors, “some of whom waited in line for an hour to test its metal.” Says Nancy Specter, the museum’s chief curator and artisic director, “More than 100,000 people have waited patiently in line for the opportunity to commune with art and with nature.”

The Times was unable to determine where the toilet will go once the exhibit closes.
